How to schedule Last Mile Delivery pickup

Coordinating a last-mile delivery pickup efficiently is essential for ensuring timely and hassle-free shipments. With pCustoms, scheduling a pickup is a seamless process that helps businesses manage their logistics effortlessly. Whether you’re a large corporation or a small business, our platform enables you to arrange pickups, generate necessary shipping documents, and track your shipments — all in just a few clicks. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps to create a last-mile delivery pickup, ensuring your cargo is collected and transported smoothly to its final destination.


Step 1: Go to the Pickup Request module

Scroll down to the "Pickup Request" section in the Last Mile Delivery Entity Profile:

Then, click on the "New" button:

Step 2: Fill out the New Pickup Form details

Now, it's time to enter the pickup details:

You need to provide the following:

  • Pickup Date – the date on which the driver will collect your shipment from the pickup location

  • Start Time – the earliest time (in the local time zone of the pickup location) when the driver is expected to arrive for pickup

  • End Time – the latest time (in the local time zone of the pickup location) by which the driver must complete the pickup

Then, click on the "Create" button at the bottom:

Step 3: Review the Pick Request

You will see the pickup you created in the expansion panel like the one below:

Click on the Pickup ID to see and review the details you entered:

To see the pickup status, click on the "Status" button below:

You will see the pickup status in the below format:

Also, when the driver is assigned (several hours before the pickup timeline), the driver information and trailer data will be available so you can plan accordingly:

The driver location map provides real-time road traffic data, ensuring you always have the most up-to-date information for efficiently tracking and planning your shipments.

If pickup is rejected or rescheduled, you will see the reason codes in the below format:

Finally, once the pickup is complete and the cargo is processed by the carrier, the reconciled PROs will be available:

If you want to update your pickup request, you can click the "Edit" button in the specific pickup panel you want to change:

Then, fill out the details with the information you need the pickup request to reflect:

Then, click "Submit":

You can see the status of your updated pickup request as before by just clicking the "Status" button:

If you want to cancel the pickup request, you can click the "Delete" button in the specific pickup panel you want to cancel:

Click "Submit" to confirm:

Once the pickup is canceled, then it can not be changed or reinitiated:
