By following these steps, you can quickly determine an importer’s bond status and ensure uninterrupted trade operations.
Step 1: Go to the Commercial Entities module
You need to click on the "Directory" drop-down at the left navigation bar:
Then, click on "Commercial Entities":
Step 2: Open the entity profile
You need to click on the entity name to which you want to check their bond status with CBP to open their profile:
Step 3: Submit bond status query:
Now, it's time to make the query we need. You need to click on the "Bond Status Query" button at the bottom:
Step 4: Review and confirm the status with CBP
It may take 4-5 seconds for CBP's system to review our request; thus, to ensure we have the latest data fetched from CBP, click on the "Latest Query History" button:
Then, click on the latest "Event ID" to see the status message:
You will see a message from CBP in the below format:
